McGaughey Bridges Dunlap, PLLC is an AV-Rated litigation firm. Not every attorney is suited to the needs of trial work. Not every law firm is capable of trial work. At McGaughey Bridges Dunlap, we only practice civil trial work and it is because of that focus that we can without hesitation compare our results in trial to that of any law firm in the area.
Of course, trying cases is about more than standing in the courtroom. Many trials are determined long before the litigants walk inside of the courthouse. It is because of our extensive experience actively trying cases that we understanding what makes a compelling case and it allows us to work with our clients, in every interaction starting from the first client meeting to the eve of trial, to form a strategy for success in trial.
It is the nature of litigation that many cases settle. That is to be encouraged. However, good settlements come from a position of strength. Therefore, our firm’s philosophy is simple: we prepare every case, from day one, as though it will be tried to a jury. Many times, that will allow our clients to settle a case without the expense and time of trial. When you are in a position of strength, the other side will often capitulate. Settlement, however, requires your opponent to be reasonable. When they are not, and if the case cannot be settled, you will be ready because we will be ready.
At McGaughey Bridges Dunlap we represent a wide variety of clients. And unique to civil practice, we represent both defendants and plaintiffs. By our way of thinking, representing only defendants or only plaintiffs creates tunnel vision. Instead, we strive to be balanced in our litigation of cases and our advice to our clients. By not being closed minded to plaintiffs or defendants to the exclusion of the other we are better able to anticipate your opponent’s next legal move.
There are many excellent attorneys. But not all excellent attorneys are excellent trial attorneys. If you find yourself in litigation, you need an attorney that knows more than simply the law. You need an attorney that knows how to fight for you where it matters most. That is what we do. |
