Product liability claims take many forms and may be hidden within what seems like a garden variety claim. For example: was a car accident the result of the driver's negligence or were the injuries caused by a defect in the car? Those are the types of questions that must be asked. Also, is the defect a result of a poor design or a poor aspect of its manufacture. Or, perhaps the defect is not the product at all but the warnings or instructions that accompanied it. Those are all different types of product liability claims. It requires experience for an attorney to understand and litigate the difference.
We leave no stone unturned. If necessary, we can and have entirely redesigned products in order to demonstrate the manufacturer's product was defective. In one case, we completely redesigned a jet ski to show it could have been designed to not explode. In that case Dan'L Bridges and Shellie McGaughey obtained a verdict for our $7 million for their client.
At our firm we have litigated all manner of product liability cases ranging from exploding jet skis to all manner of consumer devices. One of the greatest challenges in our ever expanding global economy is the producer of a defective product may be overseas. At our firm we have extensive experience serving overseas parties in order to bring claims for our clients.
Below are pictures for a recent products liability case. The top picture is of our client's jet ski (ski doo) after it exploded due to an accumulation of gas vapors. Unlike boats, jet skis and ski doos are not required to have blowers to evacuate explosive fumes. When our client pressed the starter, an arc took place that exploded gas vapors. The bottom picture is our redesigned jet ski (ski doo) with a blower that would have prevented our client's accident.
